Seattle Vocational Institute stands alone as the area's largest delivery system of post-secondary vocational education. Since its inception, over 15,000 individuals have arrived at the college, knowing that education would open the door to a better future. They all left with one thing in common: a chance to secure the future they wanted to attain.
 
We enroll more than 1400 students a year and celebrated our highest number of student graduates last June. We serve those who are looking to start a new career at a reasonable cost. We serve those who are undereducated and/or underemployed.
 
We owe our success to a caring faculty and staff, an involved citizenry and careful spending of public funds. Students are assisted every step of the way to help ensure their success. Assistance is available to help students overcome barriers that might hinder their educational success. At SVI we believe by providing quality education for our students; we improve the quality of their lives. We know when a student graduates and enters the work force it strengthens the family and the community.
 
Our goal is to help students select a promising career, acquire the necessary employment skills and most importantly, to help graduates secure a good job. Our vocational programs are designed to meet the demands of today's labor market and the challenges of the ever-changing employment arena.
