SVI is located adjacent to Lavizzo Park on South Jackson Street and 22nd Ave. S. approximately 3/4 of a mile east of Seattle's historic
Chinatown-International District, a thriving business community featuring many attractions such as the
Wing Luke Asian Museum. Neighborhood landmarks include the
Langston-Hughes Cultural Arts Center, the
Odessa-Brown Children's Clinic and the historic
Douglass-Truth Library opened in 1914.

#14 East/West
Runs from Capitol Hill through Downtown Seattle to Jackson St. past the school and on to the Mount Baker neighborhood. Connects to the International District Station.
International District Station
Fifth Avenue South and South Jackson Street is the south entrance to the Metro tunnel. Currently, the bus routes which run through the tunnel are: 41, 71, 72, 73, 101, 106, 150, 176, 177, 178, 190, 194, 196, 212, 225, 229, 255, 256, 266, 301, 306, 312 and ST 550.
#4 North/South
Runs from north Queen Anne past Seattle Center through Downtown Seattle before turning east on James St. At 24th Ave. S. it turns south again passing within one block of SVI before continuing on to the south end via MLK Way.
#8 North/South
Goes from Lower Queen Anne/Seattle Center over Denny/Thomas to Group Health then turns south along MLK Way stopping one block from SVI before traveling southbound to S. Walden St.
#48 North/South
Begins at Rainier Beach High School in the south and travels north via MLK Way passing Franklin High School before stopping one block east of SVI. The # 48 then continues north along 23rd Ave S. crossing over the Montlake Bridge into north Seattle going through Cowen/Ravenna Park, wrapping west around Green Lake and finally traveling on N. 85th St. to reach 32nd Ave. NW.
Metro GoPass
The GoPass is a quarter-long metro bus pass, which allows you unlimited travel within Seattle throughout the quarter. All students, staff and faculty at Seattle Vocational Institute can purchase a GoPass by paying the quarterly $10 TMP fee and the cost of the GoPass itself (about $70). Go Passes are available through Administrative Services.
