Life Skills

Be impeccable with your word.

Speak with integrity--honesty, truth, and honor.

Say only what you mean.

Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.

Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

Don't take anything personally.

Nothing others do is because of you.

What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.

When you are immune to the opinion and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

Don't Make Assumptions.

Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.

Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama.

With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

Always do your best.

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.

Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

Don’t believe yourself, and don’t believe anyone else.

Be skeptical of our own lies and be in truth at all times.

Learn to listen.  Listen with the heart — the heart and common sense.

Accept yourself completely--just the way you are, and accept everybody else just the way they are.

Never accept what you hear as completely true.

    Punctuality

    Early Quits

Being out of the classroom for more than five minutes (without authorization) is considered absence.  Time not engaged in class activities is considered absence.   (You must make up a minimum of 15 minutes per instance.)

    Makeup Time

Calculate your make-up time for any absence from class as follows:

   Entire class period                                                            1.5 Hours
Part of class period      Count all minutes to the next ¼ hour and add 15 minutes

While making up an absence in courses, you are expected to work on the activity covered during your absence and/or a makeup assignment assigned by your instructor.  Makeup time will not be awarded unless these assignments are turned in to your instructor.  Makeup time should be completed as soon as possible, but must be completed within two weeks of your absence.

Grading

If you are absent from class more than 15% of the total course hours (greater than 5 hours for this course), you will be given a failing grade.
