Under the supervision of
our instructional staff, which includes Licensed Dentists and
Certified Dental Assistants, you will develop skill in the following:
rubber dam placement, radiography, performing coronal polish,
fluoride treatment, giving oral hygiene instruction, packing retraction
cord, sealant placement, patient charting, the use of the matrix band,
infection control, front
office, management of office, as well as new patient, composite and amalgam procedures performed on clinical
patients.
The staff
will give you guidance, demonstrations and lecture on all clinical
procedures. Take every opportunity there is to develop your
skills. The level of expertise you reach depends on your commitment to
your education. You will also participate in this learning experience by serving
as a patient for other students. The skills acquired in the practice
setting will prepare you for patient care in our state of the art clinical.
