NAC StudentsThis course is designed as a generic basic study program for entry-level nursing assistants that uses easy-to-read and easy-to-understand technical instruction combined with 56 hours of supervised on-the-job training experience providing direct patient care.

It prepares the student to administer basic nursing assistant personal care services to the resident, patient or client. Procedures and techniques are delivered in order to complete training that meets the OBRA 1987 guidelines and prepares the student to sit for the Nursing Assistant Certification exam.

Applicants are required to take the CPAt test before entry into this program. To provide additional support, optional basic skill courses, (ABE/ESL) will be available from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. daily for the entire duration of the course.

Classes are offered Monday through Thursday, from 4 to 7 pm. This program is not offerered every quarter, please check catalog for class offerings.

Open to LEP/ESL (level 4 and above) TANF and low-income parents.
